photoThe Hite lab combines single particle cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, electrophysiology and cellular imaging techniques in order to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of ion channels. We are particularly interested in lysosomal ion channels, which regulate a broad variety of cellular processes including cellular growth, apoptosis, nutrient uptake and lipid homeostasis.
